    Itinerary

    Day 01 : Arrive in Cochin

    Welcome to India, the land of million Gods!
    You are welcomed at the airport by our tour executive and transferred to the hotel where you are assisted with your check in. Most flights arrive either in the evening or early morning. Your accommodation is reserved from previous day to guarantee immediate check in.
    Start your exploration of India from Cochin. Your tour begins from Jewish Synagogue (closed on Fridays and Saturdays). It contains beautiful Belgian glass chandeliers and paved with painted tiles from China. Later visit the Dutch Palace (closed on Fridays) with its wonderful murals depicting the entire story of the Ramayana. Then visit St. Francis Church, established by the Portuguese Franciscan friars in 1503. Vasco Da Gama was buried in the courtyard of this European church, one of the first built in India. End the tour after you visited the Chinese fishing nets, more than a century old and still in use.

    Day 02 : Cochin - Munnar

    You are driven through thickly forested hills to Munnar, past rubber and spice plantation and into South India’s tea growing district. Snuggling coyly in the green and serene Kannan Devan Hills, at an altitude of 1542m. Panoramic views of low flying clouds and mist filled valleys make it a little haven with a cool bracing climate. The famous places include the Kundala Tea Plantation, Tajamalai Peak, The High Range Club and Eravikulam National Park, home to endangered Nilgiri Tahr, Macaque, sambar, Elephants, Gaur, and many more.
    Evening, witness the Kathakali dance performance, performed by various artists. Kathakali is a traditional dance form, depicting Indian epics – Ramayana & Mahabharata. The dancers are dressed in very colorful and elaborate costumes. Their faces were painted to depict various characters of the epics. The dance has a lot of facial expressions and brisk, yet articulate body movements.

    Day 03 : Munnar
    You are driven to a tea plantation estate in the morning. Join the workforce, wear the tea harvesting gear.

    and pick your choice of tea leaves. You are then guided to the tea processing unit within the estate, where the leaves weighed and then processed into fresh tea dust. You are allowed to carry the freshly processed tea powder home as a souvenir. Do not let the opportunity go without a lesson on how different types of ‘Chai’ can be made. Visit Eravikulam National Park, home to endangered Nilgiri Tahr, Macaque, Sambar, Elephant and many more. Evening, driven to a Keralan family for lesson on Kerala cuisine and dinner with the family members.
    Day 04 : Munnar
    Mountain cycles provided to explore the beautiful Munnar hills on your own.
    Day 05 : Munnar - Thekkady (Periyar Wildlife Park)
    You are driven to Thekkady, a very popular wildlife sanctuary. This region is home to bison, sambar, and wild boar. Elephants and tigers. En-route stop to visit elephant form. You can feed, bath and if inclined ride on the massive mammal.
    Day 06 : Thekkady.

    Accompany the local naturalist proceed on a nature walk that includes spice plantation & spice market visits.

    Post lunch, cruise on the Periyar Lake to view the wildlife, which often converge on the banks of the lake as it is the only water source in the region. Wildlife includes elephants, Indian Gaur, monkeys, spotted deer, barking deer, wild boar, and birds of myriad varieties. Encompassing an area of 777sq. kms the sanctuary lies at an elevation between 914 and 1828 meters above the sea level.

    Day 07 : Thekkady – Backwater cruise (Alleppey).
    You are driven to Alleppey; embark one of the beautifully designed houseboats and cruise on the backwater of Kerala. Relax and have a good time until the next morning. The cook and other staff will make sure that you are well taken care of, while serving you delicious Kerala cuisine for lunch, dinner, and breakfast.
    Day 08 : Alleppey – Mararikulam beach

    Disembark from the houseboat and proceed to your wellness spa in Mararikulam on the Arabian sea shore.
    Day 09 : Mararikulam beach
    You are at leisure on this day. Yoga, Meditation, one body rejuvenating Ayurveda massage also included on this day.
    Day 10 : Mararikulam beach – Cochin Airport.
    You are transferred to the hotel near Cochin airport for dinner and overnight stay. This is done to avoid long travel during the early hours of the day.
    Day 11 : Cochin - Onward journey.
    Dropped off at airport on time to commence your onward journey. We end our services at Cochin airport.
